Karen Jackson, President
Karen is the founder of Jackson Solutions LLC, a sales growth advisory firm whose mission is to help business owners drive top line revenue profitably. Drawing on her breadth of experience as a CEO, entrepreneur, and sales executive, Karen helps CEO’s reinvigorate their organizations by uncovering their obstacles to growth and developing immediate, practical, actionable strategies for accelerating revenue generation.
Karen brings to bear 25 years experience of business leadership in the IT consulting and staffing industry, servicing Fortune 1000 clients in pharmaceutical, financial services, consumer goods, direct marketing and media industries. She has extensive experience in leadership, management, strategy, business development, enterprise sales, marketing, recruiting, and service delivery functions. As a senior executive and business owner, she has consistently created high growth companies recognized on both the Inc. 500 and Inc. 5000 lists.
Her most recent entrepreneurial success was as president of Celerity Technology Services, a boutique IT consulting firm she co-founded in 2001 and subsequently sold in 2008. Karen’s ability to create a vision and inspire her team to execute on goals and commitments was the foundation of this success. Her commitment to quality, consistency and reliability of service delivery ensured the creation and preservation of long-term relationships with leading corporate IT, procurement and HR executives, fueling Celerity’s growth and garnering recognition on the Inc 5000 list for 2007, and DiversityBusiness.com’s Top 25 Women Owned Business in CT and Top 500 Women Owned Businesses in the US for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Prior to founding Celerity, Karen was a member of the senior management team for Modis, Inc., a $1+ billion, NYSE listed IT services firm. As regional vice president, she led the $70M metro-NY region, an organization of more than 300 consultants serving financial services, insurance, direct marketing, consumer products, manufacturing, and telecom clients through 4 branch offices in NY, NJ and CT. Karen joined Modis through the acquisition of Zeitech, Inc., where she had P& L responsibility for the $17M, 100 employee CT branch. Karen joined Zeitech during early stage growth and had significant impact on the company’s success and sale. Previously, Karen held branch manager and account executive positions at AGS / NYNEX and Software Design Associates, where she was consistently in the top 2% of revenue producers, and Salesperson of the Year awardee. Her very first sales position, fresh out of college, was as a manufacturer’s rep in the ski apparel industry where she gained her first experience in sales and never looked back.
Karen earned a BA from Middlebury College. She is a member of various industry organizations, including: Association for Corporate Growth (ACG); National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) – NYC Chapter; The Business Council of Fairfield (CT); Westchester County (NY) Association. Karen is also a volunteer for the Women President’s Educational Organization.
